Upper Sixth commemorate time at Woldingham

11 May 2023

Leavers’ Mass on Wednesday 10 May was the first of several events to mark the fact that our Upper Sixth students’ time at Woldingham is drawing to a close and to celebrate the experiences and achievements they have enjoyed here, the friendships they have made and the exciting futures that lie ahead for them as they write their own story outside the valley.

Fr Gerry told the students what a privilege it has been to work with a such a wonderful group of individuals and that he was sure that St Madeleine Sophie would have been proud of them and all they have achieved and will go on to achieve.

Each member of the Head Girl Team said a few words, with Head Girl Léonie describing her seven years at Woldingham as “an unforgettable journey, full of lots of happy and joyful memories”.

After Mass, things became a little more informal, with a barbecue on a Pergola Lawn replete with inflatables, which were much enjoyed (see photos below).

On Friday 12 May, many Upper Sixth parents will join their daughters at a Leavers’ Ceremony and drinks reception, before the students enjoy a final, very special, dinner together as a year group.
