Year 9 students in Mrs Wraith’s tutor group in Stuart House demonstrated the dos and the don’ts of putting together a Christmas basket in a video for Basket Brigade, a charity which donates Christmas gift baskets to people who need a helping hand at this time of the year.
The instructional video will be shown on December 23 to hundreds of volunteers who will prepare 1,500 baskets and distribute them on the same day.
Mrs Wraith said, ‘A huge thank to you Mr O’Gorman, Assistant Director of Drama, who has been preparing the girls to be ‘video ready’, to Mr Cooper, who filmed the video on Monday 5 December, and my tutor group for helping make the video. Kindness and giving back are at the very heart of Woldingham School and this was a wonderful, if unusual, way for our tutor group to contribute to the happiness of others at Christmas. Basket Brigade is very appreciative of our support, which will make sure the baskets look beautiful as they are distributed just before Christmas.'
