A fantastic firework display lit up the skies over Orchard Field on Friday 4 November, to the delight of the hundreds of members of the Woldingham community who attended. Following days of heavy rain, we were blessed with a beautiful, clear evening for perfect viewing.
The display followed a fabulous blaze as a huge bonfire consumed this year’s guys, creatively constructed earlier in the week by Year 7s and their House Captains. These were on display in the marquee earlier in the evening and, after careful consideration and discussion with his fellow judges, Dr Whitehead declared Digby’s guy this year’s winner.
Thanks to WPSA for organising this lovely event, and to all the members of staff involved on the evening and in its preparation.
