Verity and Emma, Captain and Vice Captain U12A VIII
On Friday 24 June, the U12A team enjoyed a great day at the Surrey Starburst Cricket Festival at Dorking Cricket Club.
We played five matches over the day. Our round robin group in the morning was Pakistan (each group was named after a Commonwealth Games cricket playing country) and we played against Surbiton High and then Guildford High. While we didn’t win either match the scores were very close – we finished only nine runs behind Surbiton.
In the afternoon we played Kingsdale from the South Africa group three times. Our third match was very tense as it was one game all, but we took the win in the end.
All eight of us really enjoyed our day out playing cricket. Well played everyone.
