Woldingham’s ski team (pictured) were well-prepared and excited to hit the slopes of Flaine, France at the end of January 2022. However, for the second year running, COVID led to the cancellation of the British Schoolgirls’ Ski Championships.
Our team comprised Upper Sixth Formers Lily and Bea, Year 10s Oksana and Sophie, and Year 8s Megan and Mimi. Although it’s midsummer, the students are already looking forward to the 2023 Championships, which mark the 100th anniversary of the Ladies Ski Club of Great Britain, making it an even more special two days of competition for racers and supporters. Although Lily and Bea will have left the valley, we are very much hoping they will be able to join us for a wonderful weekend of skiing.
