Sixth Form scientists share knowledge succinctly at science communication competition

24 May 2022

Lower Sixth students Jahnvi and Léonie demonstrated their scientific knowledge and their ability to communicate succinctly at Science Snippets: 4 minutes to win it!, a science communication competition organised by Tonbridge School on Friday 13 May.

Léonie C, Head Girl

Jahnvi and I very much enjoyed Tonbridge’s science competition, which included many fascinating short talks on topics ranging from black holes to how to win at Wordle. I will definitely be using some of those tips!  Jahnvi gave a fascinating talk on seizures, which explained what’s really happening in someone’s body. I spoke about new vaccination technology, which helped create the COVID-19 vaccine in less than a year.

It was really interesting to listen to other people’s talks and share my own presentation, but the best part of the night was meeting so many like-minded people with a passion for science.
