Students dance up a storm as annual show returns

10 May 2022

Miss Lucinda Banton, Teacher of Spanish and Choreography Club organiser

On Wednesday 4 May, our first Wold Dance Show since 2019 showcased a range of dance styles, including ballet, tap, hip-hop, contemporary and musical theatre. Students had worked very hard in recent weeks on routines that were either choreographed and rehearsed completely by themselves, or during our extra-curricular dance clubs, Dance with Attitude, Glee Club, Choreography Club and Ballet.

The costumes, lights and sound all added to the fantastic performances from our cast of more than thirty students, from Year 7 to Upper Sixth.  It was lovely to see the enjoyment of everyone involved, both those on stage and those watching in the auditorium. Well done to all our students who took part, demonstrating the immense range of dance talent we have at Woldingham.

Many thanks to Miss Stacey Williams and Miss Emma Williams for their assistance with this event. We are already looking forward to next year’s show!
