Second successful book drive for The Children’s Book Project

10 May 2022

Ms Amanda Owens, Librarian

For the second year running, the Woldingham community responded wonderfully to our book drive for The Children’s Book Project, a London-based charity which redistributes good quality used books to children across the UK with few or no books of their own.

This is a very worthy cause which I am pleased to support in any way I can.  My thanks to all parents, staff and students who took the time to sort out and donate children’s books again this year. While we didn’t quite match our previous total, bookshelves having been so well-scoured last year, we still managed to collect and donate 600 books, which is fantastic. They will bring a lot of pleasure to children around the country.
