Miss Siobhan Campbell, Head of Art
In a workshop on Tuesday 9 November our Upper Sixth art and textiles students explored photographic manipulation techniques to help produce a variety of work and responses. We warmly welcomed back former Woldingham art teacher Mrs Connery who led dark room training on developing negatives, playing with double exposure and adding textures during the developing process. The students learned how to transfer images using the heat press and working with specialist inks.
A key focus of the day was the exploration of surface manipulation, which students did through collage, stitch and paint. The workshop was a great success and helped kick start a week of full on experimentation. Well done Upper Sixth and a big thank you to Mrs Connery.
