Women mean business at panel event

Women mean business at panel event

28 April 2021

Mrs Camilla Mair, Foundation Director

Our first panel event of the term focused on the theme ‘Women in Business’.  The panels are part of a programme of events and activities for the wider Woldingham community to come together to support each other and provide insight and advice to ensure students thrive in their lives after school.

Our panel comprised five excellent alumnae and parent speakers: Hannah Elsworthy (2000), Head of Corporate Governance at Lidl; Andrea Wareham (parent), Chief People Officer at Pret A Manger; Rachel Vinton (2004), Product Strategist at BlackRock Investment Management; Kristina Locke (1988), Founder of SugaVida; and Montse Passolas (parent), Global Chief Marketing Officer at ghd.

We are hugely grateful to them all for giving up their time to share their personal career journeys and give excellent advice and insight into the world of work that awaits Woldingham students. They also dealt brilliantly with the battery of great questions posed by our large virtual audience of students, staff, parents and alumnae. Thank you too to Mrs Bodil Chambers, Head of Higher Education & Careers, for hosting the panel.

Thank you to everyone who attended this insightful and informative event, part of the Woldingham Talks series.  We are holding two more panel events this term: Women in STEM on Tuesday 11 May and Women Entrepreneurs on Tuesday 25 May. More details to follow.

If any parent or alumna is able to share their career history, do get in touch as we are always looking for new perspectives and every career story is different.
