Following Woldingham musicians' success in the individual classes in the Coulsdon & Purley Festival, three students, Emily, Alexia and Isabel (pictured), have won cups and the special awards that bring the Festival to its conclusion.
Many congratulations to our talented and dedicated students who won:
Emily, Upper Sixth
- The Fabian Smith Trophy (for British Song)
Alexia, Year 11
- The Lieder Cup
- The Isabel Wilson Memorial Bursary (for a young singer who shows exceptional promise)
Isabel, Year 10
- The Jill Jones Memorial Trophy (for intermediate piano recital)
- The Elizabeth Sutcliffe Cup (for most promising pianist under 16 entered for more than one class)
Isabel has also been nominated for The Hervey Alan Competition, which recognises outstanding musicianship at the Festival, and is waiting to hear when this will take place.
