Around two thirds of this term's small onsite boarding community enjoyed the unusual experience of staying at Woldingham for last week’s half term break.
A wide variety of activities were provided for them, including both indoor and outdoor sporting activities and games, mug design painting, tie dyeing face masks, lino printing, card and board games. As always, food was a popular theme and much fun was had toasting marshmallows in the fire pit one evening and participating in a baking competition, which was won by the makers of a spectacular Harry Potter cake.
The highlight of half term week was a movie afternoon in the Auditorium – Big Hero 6. Our catering team provided an amazing assortment of goodies – ice cream, popcorn, sweets, smoothies, coke, nachos and burgers. They even issued everyone with cinema tickets and had put up signs indicating the different screens. Our boarders were very impressed with the effort the team had made and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
