Chapel carol service celebrates Christmas

Chapel carol service celebrates Christmas

16 December 2020

Woldingham celebrated Christmas with a carol service full of beautiful music and singing, readings, prayers and reflection. We may not have been able to gather in Westminster Cathedral this year but the lovely service, filmed in the school Chapel, was watched by hundreds of members of the school community wherever they were. Staff and students watched in tutor groups, boarders finishing the term while quarantining overseas joined remotely, as did parents, alumnae and friends around the world.

Delightful carols from our choirs and musicians brought the spirit of Christmas to the Chapel. Readings by students and Dr Whitehead spoke of patience and hope, which, as Chaplain Fr Gerry said, we all need at this time.

This year’s setting may have been different, but the Christmas message was unchanged. You can enjoy our carol service here.
