Students receive first Holy Communion

1 October 2020

Fr Gerard Devlin, Chaplain

On Thursday 1 October, the Feast of St Thérèse of the Child Jesus, two Year 8 students, Freya and Norien, received the sacrament of Holy Communion in the School Chapel. The students had taken part in the preparation programme earlier in the year but, sadly, we had to cancel the celebration in May due to COVID.  We were delighted that Freya’s grandparents were able to join in the celebration from Australia as they watched a live stream of the Mass. We look forward to welcoming family, friends and invited guests to join the students for a Mass of Thanksgiving in the School Chapel when we are permitted to do so.

May the Lord pour out his blessing on the students that they may feel his lasting presence in a very special way. Please remember the students in your prayers as they continue to grow in faith.
