School listens to feedback in survey of parents

11 June 2020

After reviewing and analysing the results of the parent survey in May about remote teaching, returning schools and student wellbeing, we have been able to make decisions about Year 10 and Lower Sixth returning to school at the end of this term and have made some adjustments to on-line lessons and class sizes.

The results of the survey were very positive – the mood of 84% of students was rated as good or very good by parents and 86% of parents said remote teaching and learning is excellent or good. Of course, there are always opportunities for improvements and we have made a number of changes for the second half of the summer term following suggestions by parents. These included holding a webinar, which took place last week, introducing live PE lessons, and encouraging students to turn on their cameras during online lessons.

You can read a summary of the parent survey and watch a recording of the webinar. You can also download responses to the questions we were not able to cover in the webinar.
