Gardeners’ Wold Episode 3: Tumbling tomatoes and a frost in May

14 May 2020

We have a bumper crop of guest appearances in episode three of Gardeners’  Wold. Mrs Norman’s tumbling tomatoes are looking terrific, but she’s after some advice on raspberries. Mme Emery has been wasting nothing from the kitchen, getting avocado stones, melon seeds and even the ends of leeks to sprout. Down in Somerset, Ms Ward shows us some local beauty spots and gets competitive with her sunflowers.

Meanwhile regular presenter Mrs Hutchinson talks potatoes and producer/cameraman Mr Ross captures a May frost on Pergola Lawn. All gardeners will be hoping that’s the last one for many months!

Watch this week’s episode here.

Gardeners’  Wold  is produced by Head of Theology Mr Ross who, living on site, is able to keep us up to date with all things green at Woldingham. His inspiration was the long-running BBC Television programme, Gardeners’  World.
