7 May 2020

Mr Nick Hillier, Head of Physics

Last term, students in Year 11 and Lower Sixth had the chance to stretch themselves in national physics competitions run by the British Physics Olympiad.

Year 11 sat the Intermediate Physics Challenge. Sophie D and Teresa F performed best in the school, with Sophie gaining a Bronze 1 Award whilst Teresa was close behind with a Bronze 2.

Lower Sixth students Imogen B and Jing Qiao S did brilliantly to gain Silver Awards in the Senior Physics Challenge whilst Catherine and Alice picked up Bronze 2 Awards. These competitions are for the best physicists in the country and all the students have done excellently to score so highly.
