A fantastic bespoke programme called Brave New Wold is being rolled out to Year 11 and Upper Sixth this summer term to take advantage of the cancellation of GCSE and A Levels.

The programme for the Upper Sixth focuses on preparation for university and life after Woldingham. Year 11’s programme helps students make a successful transition into Sixth Form.

The Upper Sixth programme is divided into five streams: Academic preparation, Mind the Gap, Futures Course, Life Lessons and Lockdown Learning. Click here for more information.

For Year 11’s Brave New Wold there is: Falling in love with your A Level subjects, Mind the Gap, Explore Career Options, Young Enterprise Challenge and Lockdown Learning. Follow this link for more information.

Phil Abbott, Head of Sixth Form said: ‘Our ‘Brave New Wold’ programme means that we can help both our Year 11 and Upper Sixth students make the most of this unique situation. Teachers and support staff from across the school are delivering a fantastic and innovative range of subjects and skills. Sessions include Head of Art Miss Reay running a crash course in art appreciation, Mr Kellaway will be talking about succeeding in the graduate recruitment arena and we have Masterchef contestant Erin Peyman delivering the cookery sessions. And there is so much more. I am hugely excited about this term and the opportunity it affords students to gain new skills and insights that will enable them to take on their next challenge with courage and confidence.’
