Woldingham students to be educated remotely from Friday 20 March

18 March 2020

Following the UK Government’s announcement that all schools are to be closed from the end of the school day on Friday 20 March, students at Woldingham will be taught remotely until the end of term, Friday 27 March. Both teachers and students will work from home.

A skeleton team of support staff will operate at Woldingham from now until the end of the term and over the holidays. The small number of staff who continue to work onsite will follow clear guidelines to minimise the possible transmission of Covid-19.

Mrs Alex Hutchinson, Headmistress, commented: ‘In anticipation that schools might be closed at short notice, students and staff have worked hard in recent weeks to prepare to be educated remotely. We hope to return to our normal way of working school at the start of the summer term.

We recognise our important role in working together as a community to tackle Covid-19 and wish everyone well over this difficult period. We will continue to update our parents, students and staff regularly as the situation changes. Thank you to our whole community for it support at this difficult time,’
