Cross Country Success

14 November 2019

Our cross country runners performed extremely well in very muddy conditions in the South East Surrey Schools District Cross Country Competition on 5 November. Our Year 7 team came first and our Year 8 and Year 10/11 teams took third place.  Special congratulations to Ela Pemberton (Year 7) who came second out of 100 runners and Amie Gould (Year 8) who took second place in a 70-strong field. Mrs Hutchinson presented them both with their medals in yesterday’s assembly.

The hockey girls had some convincing wins against Gordon’s on the first weekend after half term, most notably U13A (5-0), U13B (10-0) and U12B (5-1).  The 1st XI played superbly to come away with a 4-2 win and they followed this up with a 2-0 victory against Charterhouse.

In netball the U14A, B and C teams played Caterham with the B and C team winning convincingly while the A team had a game of two halves.  The U15A and B beat Warlingham in their league fixtures and the U12AB and C won across the board against Royal Russell.

In other netball news, Livvy Bainbridge and Marina Barry have both been selected for the Surrey County Academy.
