Sport Round Up

17 October 2019

Well done to our U15A netballers who were runners up in the District Netball Cup after a closely-contested final, losing by just one goal to RAAS.  Our U13 and U14 netball teams also enjoyed some excellent fixtures against Royal Russell.  The Seniors, U14 and U15 A teams all took part in their respective Surrey competitions against some very talented opposition and each team finished mid table.

Hockey have had fixtures against Lord Wandsworth, Colfes, Sackville, Priors Field and Burgess Hill across a range of age groups, with the U12B and C teams in particular having excellent success against Sackville.

Recent weeks have seen much individual success:

Five students, Ella Harrison (Year 11), Katy North (Year 10), Ella Kennett and Rosie Johnson (Year 9) and Olivia Mann (Year 8), have been selected for their respective age Surrey Hockey squads, which is a fantastic achievement.

Sixth Former Charlotte Alexander scooped silver at the U20 British Cross Challenge in Cardiff on Saturday 12 October, with a great time of 15:46.  This bodes very well for her many upcoming fixtures as the cross country season gets underway.

Whilst Charlotte was running in Cardiff, Year 7’s Lea Gayral was bringing her considerable karate skills to bear in the International Banzai Cup in Berlin, taking a fantastic third place in the U12 section in a field of 29.
