Ana Wins Prix de la Paix

8 May 2018

Prix de la Paix is an essay competition organised by the Rotary Club of Caterham for Sixth Form students at local schools. The essays are written entirely in French and the subject is always related to peace. In 2018 the question was: ‘How will the relations between France and the UK be affected by Brexit?’

The prize this year was awarded to Ana in the Upper Sixth. Claude Bertin from Caterham Rotary, who judged the essays, commented on the high standard of French demonstrated by all the Woldingham students and said that he had to be quite strict about very minor errors because of this. He complimented the girls on their different views and arguments, original ideas and depth of knowledge of a difficult topic.
