Woldingham wins TES Independent School Award

6 February 2019

Woldingham is delighted to be have been awarded ‘marketing campaign of the year’ at the prestigious TES Independent School Awards 2019.

The judges recognised that our “Hidden Gem” campaign has been highly successful at raising awareness and increasing our catchment area by targeting a single-message campaign through social media, advertising and partnerships. Our posters emphasised both Woldingham’s setting in an area of outstanding natural beauty and its proximity to fast transport links.  Social media was used as a cost-effective way to reach “Facebook generation” parents. A push for third-party endorsements, including from national press, the Wayfarers Hockey Club and prep schools, also helped to attract 11+ applicants.

Lead judge, Rachel Hadley-Leonard, from AMCIS, described Woldingham’s marketing push as a “resourceful campaign with a powerful strategy aimed at a very specific market, resulting in excellent, proven results.”

Woldingham Headmistress, Mrs Alex Hutchinson, commented: “I’m proud and delighted that the work our Marketing and, indeed, the wider Woldingham team have done to communicate the wonderful education that Woldingham provides has been recognised by this prestigious award.
