Skiers Compete In 2019 British Schoolgirls' Races

31 January 2019

Six girls took part in the British Schoolgirls' Races in Flaine, in the French Alps, earlier this week. This annual ski competition saw over 150 girls compete in both Giant Slalom and Slalom races. In very snowy conditions, which isn’t ideal for racing, the team coped extremely well. The Slalom was a particularly challenging course, but all six girls successfully completed their two runs. Clara, Year 9, was our top skier across the two disciplines, but the rest of the team also produced strong results in a competition where the top skiers are regularly racing for ski clubs and even Great Britain. Despite not winning any prizes, our team spirit was second to none. Congratulations to the whole team: Lucy, Georgie, Sparkle, Bea, Lily and Clara .
