Following their trip to the battlefields around Ypres last month, Year 9 were tasked with creating a memorial to mark 100 years since the end of World War One. The students worked exceptionally hard on this, coming up with an excellent range of suggestions including songs, parks, statues, museums and exhibitions. Many were accompanied by a detailed explanation of the thinking behind their work and which element of the war they wished to be memorialised. Do drop in and see the display in the History Department. Well done Year 9.
