Mlle Lemée, our French assistant, and I took a group of 11 students from Year 9 to visit their French partners for a week. It was a pleasure to introduce them to my very own village and to the school where I was once a pupil and later a teacher. They embraced all the opportunities to immerse themselves in the French way of life, in the family life of their partners and in all the activities offered to them. They then welcomed their partners back in their home/boarding area, sharing with them their daily life. They all benefitted from the authentic experience and we were certainly proud to take our Woldingham girls abroad.
