I’m delighted to report on sporting successes notched up by Woldingham students since last term.
Georgia Velasco took part in the Atlantis Crown Gymnastics Invitational in the Bahamas, coming fifth overall in her category, and helping her team to first place.
In somewhat colder climes, skier Sophie Foster sped to skiing success at the Ambition Championships in Austria, winning the U16 Giant Slalom Cup and coming third in the Slalom Cup. Olivia Foster, who is now in the senior British team, has also had a fantastic block of training and racing, achieving a personal best of 64.3 points in U21 Slalom.
Turning to lacrosse, Grace Flanagan has been selected to go on tour to America with the U19 England squad this summer and to play in ‘Home Internationals’ (England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland) in Edinburgh in April.
