Science Success

14 November 2017

Woldingham students are celebrating awards in two science competitions, the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge and the Royal Society of Biology's Intermediate Biology Olympiad.

The Cambridge Chemistry Challenge is designed to stretch and challenge students interested in chemistry. Set by an experienced team of teachers and university chemists, it is designed to be accessible to Lower Sixth students, but takes them significantly beyond the syllabus and encourage them to think about science in the way they would at university. Woldingham students gained two gold, four silver and four copper awards.

The Intermediate Biology Olympiad, also for Lower Sixth students, tests them on topics they are likely to be currently studying and tests their understanding of topics studied at GCSE. Our students received three gold, three silver and two bronze awards.

Well done to all.
