We hosted another successful networking breakfast for this year’s Upper Sixth students this morning, welcoming eight external guests to a hotel-style breakfast in the Goddard Room, designed to give the students experience of networking in a business environment. We were thrilled to have representatives from the worlds of Financial Consultancy, Insurance, Strategic Planning, Marketing Services, Aviation, Cosmetics and Fragrance Retail in the mix. Our guests hosted tables and guided the discussion, sharing their experiences and responding to the girls’ questions about their careers and life in the working world. We hope that the networking structure and inquisitive chatter that ensued will have given the girls a ‘head start’ when it comes to doing it for real in a few years’ time.
We are extremely grateful to our external guests for giving up their valuable time to come in talk to the girls and helping to create a realistic environment for the girls to experience. Our next networking breakfast will take place on Thursday 1 March.
