Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Qualifying Expedition

14 September 2017

Following on from their practice expedition in the Brecon Beacons in the spring, in July ten Lower (now Upper) Sixth Formers moved north to the Lake District for their qualifying expedition. In two teams, carrying everything they would need for the next three nights and four days, their navigational and teamwork skills were put to the test as they crossed England's largest national park - the perfect "wild country" required for this, the highest level Duke of Edinburgh's Award. This they did successfully, getting them another step (or many!) closer to their Gold ambitions.
