13 October 2026
Mr Phil Abbot, Assistant Head (Head of Sixth Form)
The Sixth Form at Woldingham offers our students all the benefits of continuity, but it is anything but ‘business as usual’; that statement has never been truer with the launch of our Sixth Form pathways for post-16 education from 2027: the A Level pathway, the Business & Enterprise pathway and the Elite Performance’ pathway for talented sportswomen and performing artists. All pathways offer students the opportunity to pursue their passions with an exciting and challenging curriculum, whilst benefiting from the outstanding range of personal growth and extra-curricular opportunities offered in our Sixth Form. We’re also adding Dance to our A Level offering from next September.
At our Open Evening on 6 October, students and parents heard from our passionate subject specialists, as well as learning more about the alternative pathways, and some of the other unique features of life in Woldingham’s Sixth Form. This includes the Horizon programme that develops critical thinking, reasoning and intellect, our Futureproof programme preparing students to thrive in a world of AI, and our award-winning leadership programme. At Woldingham, we don’t just prepare students to succeed in public examinations, we set them up for success in life.
There was a real ‘fizz’ about the evening; our Year 11 students and prospective applicants from other schools were clearly excited to be thinking about the next step of their academic journey and how they will grow, guided by our inimitable culture, and calling our state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre ‘home’ for the next two years.
