Miss Potts, Woldingham's new Director of Music, was delighted to welcome family, students and staff to our Music Scholars’ Recital on Thursday 1 October. Using eight different instruments – cello, clarinet, flute, harp, oboe, piano, violin and, of course, voice – 20 scholars performed a varied programme, from Saint-Saens and Schubert to Ed Sheeran, via songs from Fiddler on the Roof and My Fair Lady, and an aria from Don Giovanni.
The very appreciative audience enjoyed listening to our talented musicians, as well as to the wonderful piano accompaniment by Miss Wang. Well done to everyone involved, particularly our four Year 7 scholars, who played with great assurance at their first Woldingham recital. We look forward to many more musical delights this academic year.
