Alumnae help Lower Sixth shape future plans at Women and the Workplace event

12 March 2026

Mrs Janet Travis, Director of Higher Education & Careers

On Tuesday 10 March, four alumnae joined Lower Sixth students at our annual Women and the Workplace breakfast to talk about their careers journeys since leaving Woldingham and offer students valuable insights as they start to think about their own career aspirations.

After being welcomed by Orlagh, our panellists, who work in very varied sectors, were invited to give a precis of their careers and studies to date. Pasha Orleans-Foli (class of 2017) works in the sphere of music and advertising as the New Business Representative at leading film, TV and video production company Smuggler. Alice Carter-Pegg (class of 2013) completed a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance before qualifying as a chartered accountant with accounting and advisory firm S&W. Katie Neilson (class of 2010) has worked in the insurance industry for 12 years, involving project work overseas, and is now part of the leadership team at AXA XL. Dr Phoebe Avbulimen (class of 2018) works as a resident doctor and hopes to specialise in obstetrics and gynaecology.

After hearing from all our panellists, Laura and Mimi ably facilitated a busy and insightful Q & A session. All too soon, this inspirational breakfast was over, with Olivia thanking our guests for generously giving their time and expertise.

The students were very animated after the event and thoughts are definitely turning towards plans following A Levels.
