Enterprising students sell their wares at our Christmas market

1 December 2025

One of the stalls at this year’s Christmas market on Friday 28 November was run by a company formed by 14 Lower Sixth Formers, who are taking part in the Young Enterprise programme. The students came up with the idea of forming ReKnitted, a company which sells environmentally friendly scarves made out of recycled plastic water bottles. They soon sold out of stock at the market, but spent the rest of the evening promoting their product, which can also be purchased online at the Young Enterprise Trading Station. Each student has a specific role in the company, which will trade for the next couple of months before the girls go through the formal process of winding it up. If the market is anything to go by, our young entrepreneurs look set for success.

On the neighbouring stall, members of our Beekeeping Club brought a taste of Woldingham to our Christmas market in the form of honey produced by our own bees. For the second year running, jars of their delicious harvest positively flew off the shelf.
