New Ribbons make plans for a busy and exciting year ahead

At the end of last term, all of us in the new Ribbons team were delighted to receive our new roles as student leaders of the school. I am beyond excited and extremely thankful to have the privilege of leading the team this year and have already had lots of fun getting involved in everything that being a Ribbon has entailed so far.

The term began with a Ribbons conference about our roles as student leaders of the school, where we enjoyed sessions on pastoral care, the importance of servant leadership, and learned the basics of coaching. Throughout the day, we discussed and reflected on the Ribbons Team’s vision for the year ahead. We aim to be a team that is inclusive, approachable and committed to our roles and the school, as well as, of course, cheerful and vibrant with lots of energy to bring to everything we do!

In a subsequent meeting, we got stuck into brainstorming ideas and events for the coming year. As a team, we are overflowing with ideas and can't wait to see some of them come to life soon.

Our first team task was to put together a Ribbons-led whole school assembly to introduce ourselves to the rest of the school body, which certainly kept us busy, and saw us connect as a team very quickly. We are all thoroughly enjoying it so far, and I am so lucky to be working with such an enthusiastic and fun team.

We are enormously looking forward to coming together to put on events and activities and are very excited for the year ahead!
