Boarders have a magical time on bank holiday weekend trip to Paris and Disneyland

As we arrived in Paris, having travelled there by Eurostar, it was warm, the sun was shining and the city looked beautiful. Once we had settled into our accommodation, we all met for dinner before going out to a crêpe restaurant for pudding, which was scrummy!

After a very warm night’s sleep we explored Paris with a boat ride on the Seine. We saw lots of famous sights from the water, including the Eiffel Tower and the newly restored Notre-Dame, which was amazing.

Our next stop was the Champs-Élysées, which had so many shops we didn’t know what to do with ourselves! We also saw the Arc de Triomphe – having seen it in so many movies, it was so cool to see it in real life.

After this, we were caught in a storm with hail stones bigger than we had ever seen. Luckily our teachers got us all safe inside and we made a rather soggy return to our accommodation to warm up and rest before our big day at Disneyland.

“Disneyland Day” was enormous fun. We went on the Hyperspace Mountain ride many times, absolutely loved the Indiana Jones Adventure and were even brave enough to go on the Tower of Terror - which was so great, we had multiple turns on that as well!

The food at Disneyland was so cool, there were lots of treats shaped like Mickey and so many restaurants to choose from. We got matching Disney hoodies and so many photo opportunities with the parade, the characters, and the incredible buildings. We finished our time at Disneyland with the fireworks, which were magical – such a special time to spend with our friends.

This trip was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had - thank you, Woldingham!
