Our community has started off the new year with great enthusiasm for helping others. Buoyed by a delightful letter from the Cardinal Hume Centre, thanking us for the donation of £1805.04 from the retiring collection at our Carol Service in December, the girls have embarked on various new projects.
Our 2012 team of eight Enterprise Challenge entrepreneurs have launched their campaign to raise funds for St Catherine’s Hospice. With a target of £1000 to raise in just a few weeks, they have already held cookie, phone accessories and international sales, with further events planned through to March. Another international sale raised £170.90 for the Pedro Poveda Mission, the Chaplaincy Education Fund for Scholars in the Philippines.
