Woldingham Girls - Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Medal Awards

A group of our girls were recently awarded their bronze medals at a dedicated awards ceremony held at Tatsfield. The DoE is an important part of our extra-curricular programme and we are delighted with the girls' performance.

Left to right, the group includes: Katie Maule,  Helena Rodgers, Lucy Tyler, Chantal Yu, Jessica Siddell, Charlotte Jones, and Jennie Matthews.

Girls can do their Bronze DofE programme once they turn 14. A Bronze DofE programme has 4 sections, Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition. Girls must do a minimum of 3 months activity for each of the Volunteering, Physical and Skills sections, and plan, train for and do a 2 day (1 night) Expedition.

  • Girls also have to spend an extra three months on one of the Volunteering, Physical or Skills sections. It will usually take at least 6 months to complete the Bronze programme.
  • We are very impressed with the girls and their dedication. We look forward to seeing the Silvers and Golds soon!
