RECORD BREAKERS!

Congratulations to all our Year 8, 9 and 10 athletes, who competed in the District Athletics Championships last week. They put in an amazing effort, gaining excellent results.

The Year 9 team, strengthened by some of our top Year 8s, finished 3rd overall out of the 13 schools in South East Surrey. The Year 10 relay team were 1st in a time of 54 seconds, smashing our school record! This, win, combined with the strong results throughout the day, makes our Year 10 team the new District Champions!

There were some outstanding results by many of our athletes, notably:

  • Charlotte Davies, who won the 100m & 200m finals
  • Ellie Arnfield, who won the 300m final and was 2nd in the Hurdles
  • Siobhain Obi, who was 2nd in the Shot Putt
  • Holly Castle, who won both the Discus and Javelin

As a result, Charlotte Davies, Ellie Arnfield, Siobhan Obi, Holly Castle, Charlotte Stewart, Catherine O'Connor and Laura Pepera have been selected to compete for the District at the County Championships next month.
