Students turn out in force for cricket and tennis team trials

25 April 2024

Mrs Caroline Treacy, Director of Sport

It has been wonderful to see so many students keen to play for our cricket and tennis teams this term, with around 100 students taking part in trials for each sport last Saturday 20 April. More photos from the trials are shown in the gallery below.

Tennis fixtures have already begun, with the Seniors taking on Claremont Fan Court, the U14s playing Sutton and the U12s taking on both Sutton and Surbiton. It was exciting to see our senior cricketers playing their first hardball fixture this week, with Trinity taking the win in a super over after the match was tied.

There is much sporting excitement to look forward to this term, with our House Swimming competition taking place in games lessons next week. In May, students will take part in the K2 District Athletics Championships and we will celebrate sporting achievement at our annual Sports Dinner and Marden Sports Awards, while June brings House Cricket and Tennis and, of course, Sports Day.
