The grandeur of Main House is the home to girls in Years 9 to 11. Moving up to Main House marks the beginning of life in the senior part of the school as girls begin to make important choices about their future studies and as they prepare for their GCSE examinations.

Main House students are expected to adopt a mature attitude to their studies, to work hard, challenge themselves and to take much more personal responsibility for their progress and development, guided and supported by the staff. They are also encouraged to broaden their individual interests, talents and skills by taking part in some of the many activities on offer in the co-curricular programme.

As members of the senior part of the school, girls are also encouraged to take on positions of responsibility and to enjoy the rewards of making a meaningful contribution to the school community, whether by becoming a member of their Year Forum, or representing their year group on the School or Catering Committees.  The Main House Handbook provides further information.
