Woldingham Staff Triumph
On Sunday 9th September, two teams of Woldingham staff competed in the London Duathlon in Richmond Park (A duathlon is like a triathlon but instead of the swim leg there is another run.) This is the third year we have entered, and have improved our times each year.
The teams this year were: Ina Gatzmaga and Mr Smith (10k run), Mr Brown and Mr Rae (20k cycle) and Miss May and Miss Stokes (5k run). All finished with very commendable times in their individual leg, with Team 1 finishing in 2hrs 2mins 8secs, and Team 2 in 2hrs 5mins 28secs. Many thanks to Mr Rae for slotting in at short notice, and in particular to Ina, our new German Assistante, who had only been with us for a few days before being asked to run a 10k leg!
93 Teams were entered, with Woldingham finishing 54th and 62nd.
