Girls at Woldingham have once again achieved excellent results in GCSE exams this year with a 98% pass rate and 65% of all entries at A and A* grades.
Particularly significant were the results of the girls who took several GCSE exams early, in Year 10, including 100% A* grades for GCSE French, bucking the national trend for the downturn in the number of pupils taking languages at GCSE level.
Headmistress Diana Vernon said: “I am absolutely delighted with these outstanding results which reflect the hard work and focus of the girls combined with the dedication of our teaching staff to ensure that all our girls achieve their best.“ She also paid tribute to the girls’ ability to achieve excellence not only academically but also in the many extra-curricular areas which are integral to life at Woldingham School.
