European Computer Driving Licence

Emma St Joseph (Upper 6th) has made history by becoming the first person in the school to achieve the full ECDL. She has regularly attended the ECDL club and, in addition to her A level work, has independently studied and passed all 7 modules – gaining 100% in 3 modules and over 90% in all the other modules. Emma can now add this impressive qualification to her C.V.

Congratulations are also due to Katherine Burr, Catherine Newton and Hitomi Yokoyama for achieving the BCS IT User Level 1.

With many University and employers demanding computer skills, we have been really pleased with the enthusiastic response shown by the girls to the scheme.  Girls in Year 10 have been working hard in lessons and are well on their way to gaining their BCS IT User Level 1.  Girls taking GCSE ICT are also working towards their full ECDL.  The busy ECDL Club – open to Year 10 and above - runs each work for girls to brush up and improve their skills in an informal atmosphere.

We are looking forward to introducing Year 9 to their first module next term.
